This perfect little princess was such a smart happy girl! However, like any princess, she was the one in charge. She ruled that a cake smash was not dignified enough for a princess and decided a relaxing bubble bath was more her style.

Family and Sibling Photos Included

I have to be honest; I am a little intimidated by the pre-teen/teen age group. It is always a gamble on how eager they will be to participate. So, when I saw this family had not 1 but 4 kiddos in the demographic, I was a little nervous. I realized pretty quickly, however, that I hit the jackpot when it came to this family. Not only where these kids co-operative, but they broke the mold on kind, doting older siblings. They were so excited for Miss A’s cake smash photoshoot and eager to be involved and help out. It made for such a fun, relaxed session where little A could be the star of the show.

Boston Red Sox – Baseball Theme

This guy has been on the books for months. Mom wanted a Boston Red Sox baseball themed cake smash. We decided to go simple with an outdoor session at a local field. Well, Hurricane Henri coming in spoiled our original date and we decided to move this session up one day. The weather was pretty unclear and kept changing its mind on us which led to a last-minute time change. Fortunately, it all worked out and I had so much fun with this little guy. The bubble bath totally takes the cake and is sure to be my favorite for some time! The fact that this tub belonged to this guy’s great aunt Betty makes it all that much better!

Pink, White and Gold

This little girl killed me! She has got to have the best dimples I have ever photographed. As you can all see she got them from her Mama! She was a little serious at first but thankfully I had a few tricks that broke the ice and she warmed up. She was one of those babies (they are about 50%) that was just not interested in cake. Period, end of story. We were thankfully able to distract her with glitter which I am guessing mom is still finding all of the place.

After a while when it was clear she was not going to be tricked into eating cake we decided to give the bubble bath a go. Boy oh boy did that turn things around. As you can see this is when her big personality was on full display. She was splashing and sliding around in the tub all while dancing to some Shakira. And let me tell you, girl has some moOooOves! It may just be the best thing to ever happen in my studio! She was less than impressed when it was time to come out. Happy birthday little V, I hope your big day is filled with lots of tubs!
