Baby Boy
This lovely little lady was one month old on the day of her session. Thus, proving that newborn photos are absolutely still a possibility for slightly older newborns (older than the recommended 5-14 days). She was a little touchier but with a little patience we were able to get all the images we needed. I just adore the one of her in Dad’s hands. I positioned both arms under her chin as is typical with this pose but couldn’t resist holding Dad for one more shot when her little arm came loose and dangled down over his hand. Also, how gorgeous does this little strawberry blond look in the dark green wrap?! Keeping my fingers crossed that she inherits that red hand and that I get to see it again when it is all filled in.

This boy was such a good sleeper for me. Thank goodness, because he did not like me messing with his hands. It was quite clear that he had a curly position he spent the last 9 months in and he did not care for me trying to change that. We skipped a couple of the more troublesome poses and instead opted for this wrapped on back pose. I realize now, I don’t do this pose nearly enough. Doesn’t he look so snugly! I moved him straight from here into mom’s arms and let the snug-fest continue. I love the connection between them in their photo. We ended the session by adding in his big sisters because every Momma needs a picture of all her babies all together. One of his sister happens to be a human and the other is a puppy dog. They were both equal parts co-operative and adorable. I can hardly believe it had already been 2 years since their last newborn session photo together. I am so glad I have gotten to be a part of both. Welcome to the world baby boy!
