Senior Pictures With Your Boyfriend

Senior portraits don’t have to be all about standing by yourself and smiling at the camera. If there is someone who has been a big part of your life during these high school years, why not include them? For this session, we brought her boyfriend along for a few photos. Honestly, as a Nashua Senior Portrait Photographer, I think it made the whole thing more fun. There is something about having someone you’re comfortable with there that makes it much easier to relax and just be yourself.

And no, including your boyfriend doesn’t mean your senior gallery suddenly becomes a couples session. Your senior portraits are still the main event. We can spend most of the session focusing on you and then carve out some time for a few photos together. Years from now, you may not remember exactly what you were wearing or how you posed for your senior pictures, but you might love having a photo that takes you right back to this particular chapter of your life. High school goes by ridiculously fast. You might as well document the people who were part of it.

Senior and Family Portrait Session

Senior year is such a big milestone, not just for your teenager, but for the whole family. That’s why I love when families choose to add a few family portraits to their senior session. You’re already dressed, your hair is done, and everyone is together—why not take advantage of it? As a Nashua Senior Portrait Photographer, I’ve seen how quickly this season passes. Those photos of your family together often become some of the most meaningful images from the entire session.

And don’t worry, this doesn’t mean turning your senior portrait session into a full family photo shoot. We can set aside just a few minutes during a mini session for some relaxed family photos before focusing the rest of the session on your senior. Or, you can choose a full session, and we will mix them in as we go. Either way you’ll get the senior portraits you came for, plus a handful of updated photos with the people who helped get them to this point. Because someday, when you’re looking back at these images, you may care just as much about the photo of everyone together as you do about the perfect senior portrait.

Football Senior Portraits

For a Nashua Senior Portrait Photographer who also does newborns and toddlers there is essentially nothing easier than a Senior Mini Session. Senior mini sessions are short, simple, and focused—which means choosing the right location is a big part of making sure we get a good variety of images. There isn’t time to drive to multiple locations or change outfits a bunch of times, so I look for spots that give us different backdrops, lighting, and little pockets of variety all within the same area. That way, we can create a gallery that feels like a full senior session without spending the entire time walking from place to place.

For this recent senior mini session, we also brought along his football gear, which made the session feel much more personal. We were able to capture the classic senior portraits while also incorporating something that is a big part of his life right now. I love when senior photos include those little pieces of who they are at this age. Because someday, the football gear will be packed away, graduation will be over, and these photos will be one of the things that take you right back to this version of them.

Baseball Senior Portraits

I first started photographing this guy when he was just 5 years old, which is one of those things that sounds completely reasonable until you realize he is now a senior. How did that happen?! I’ve had the chance to photograph so many stages of his life over the years, so getting to be his Nashua senior portrait photographer felt a little extra special.

Because baseball has been such a big part of his life for as long as I can remember, we made a special trip to his hometown ball field for part of his session. It was the perfect place to capture something that is genuinely him. Instead of just taking senior photos, we were able to document a piece of his story—the place, the sport, and the passion that have been part of his life for years. And honestly, getting to photograph the little 5-year-old I met all those years ago and now see the young man he has become? That part never gets old.

Beach Mini

A simple request for a photo with the sunset (and some help from my kids who completed disregarded my pleas to “not get your hair/photo cloths wet”) led to this impromptu photoshoot. She is becoming quite grown up and I am missing the chubby cheeked, raspy voiced baby who would make me jump her until my arms fell off! Fortunately, she is delightful young lady and not a bad model, either.

Senior Portrait Friend Session

I have known this girl her whole live. She has been my model, my co-conspirator, my assistant and my babysitter but I am must lucky that she has been my niece. Can’t wait to see what you will be next!

I am so glad these two decided to combined their sessions. Senior sessions are better when you have a friend to share in the fun.

I don’t want to admit how long I have been photographing Sam…..just kidding…Amanda but I am almost to the point where I know her name. So it must be a long time.

Industrial Style Senior Portraits

Sister Senior Portraits

I didn’t know that after taking big sister C’s senior portraits last year that I would be seeing her family again so soon. Then, to my surprise, Mom booked a beach session for Y-Class of 2022. This time the whole family tagged along. When my three girls are in high school I hope they have a relationship as good as these three sisters do.

Ella is 5 – Still

Sometimes, when you are a family of 6, Hampton beach trips are just simply more enjoyable in the evening. There are less crowds (ok that one is for mom). There is free parking (ok that last one is just for Dad). Most importantly there is no sun screen-ing! Sometimes when your mom is a beach photographer she cannot pass up golden hour at the beach. She will definitely try to rope you into the occasional beach photo-shoot. However, sometimes all you want to do is jump some waves. Sheesh, what do I look like a model?! Honestly, I have heard all of her one liners 1,000 times! The lady definitely needs some new material if she want to get this girl smile. Mom always gets these “bright ideas.” For example, recreating her favorite image of you from babyhood.

Sometimes she’ll bring your favorite tutu for afterwards as a low down dirty bribe. Fortunately, I generally respond to bribes. Besides everyone know that tutus work better than bathing suits, anyways. Finally, the shoot is “over” and I get to just play! But, sometimes playing in the water by yourself is overrated. Luckily, sometimes little sisters make the best co-wave jumpers. Often, when you are in the middle-ish child your “5 year old portraits” are taken when you are 5 years and 10 months. And, often when you are 5 years and 10 months taking pictures is not your favorite. But thankfully, often mom’s favorite images are the ones she gets when she is giving me no direction at all. I guess real life is just better that way.
