The cake smash mini is a new session I am offering. At the beginning of every year, I will take the opportunity to buy some of my favorite backdrops or themed props. I will announce the year’s themes on social media. The first person to book each theme will get a discounted session. These Sessions are 20-30 minutes long and include the cake and outfit. They are a great choice for someone who isn’t looking for the typical portrait session with their cake smash. I am excited to announce that this year’s themes are a mix of some of my games, books and shows as a kid from the 80s. They are: Wild ONE, Ghost Busters, Super Mario, Ninja Turtles, Back to the Future, and Goonies.

Paint Splash Mini is a great alternative to cake for your 2 Year old
Cake smash minis are basically controlled chaos. And by controlled, I mean… we try. One minute your baby is politely poking the frosting. The next? Full hands. Face first. Frosting in places you didn’t know existed. It’s messy. It’s unpredictable. And it’s honestly the best part. No pressure. No perfect poses. Just real, hilarious, sugar-fueled moments you’ll want to remember forever.
And just when we thought it couldn’t get more fun… enter the paint splash mini. Same energy. Less sugar. Way more color. Kids go from “what is this?” to full-on Picasso in about 10 seconds. Paint on the hands. Paint on the feet. Sometimes paint on me. It’s loud. It’s wild. And somehow still adorable. If your kid loves to make a mess, this one might be their masterpiece moment.

Prince Charming’s Magical Birthday

Hit the Slopes
One of my favorite little guys turned 1 recently. I was only able to convince his mom to do a mini session. And I was only able to convince her to let me share a few of these images. These are those images.

Wild ONE
This little guy was the first one to book off of my bucket list for cake smash mini. Mom decided on this “Where the wild things Are” theme which I have been wanted to do for a long time. I photographed this guy during the fall and was so excited to have him back. Now, he is a wild one at home but in the studio, he wasn’t quite ready to roar any terrible roars. He actually seemed somewhat insulted that we were asking him to eat with his hands. He refused to dig in until we supplied him with the proper utensils. Thankfully, once he got some silverware, he became the king of all cake eating. A very Happy Birthday to this man.
